What You'll Get
After crocodators, poor fitness is the number one cause of the night-scaries. With today's Groupon, turn the nightmare where you end up bare-bellied in biology class into a dream of goddess-like energy and strong, snake-charming abs: for $30, you get four beginner belly-dancing classes (a $60 value), plus a free hip scarf (a $30 value), at Dance Phillipsburg, located downtown. Dance Phillipsburg is a modern dance studio offering a range of belly-dance classes for women. Belly dancing can be a form of self-expression, a fun means of staying fit, and a reliable way to establish yourself as the alpha female of a wolf pack. Lay the foundation of your torso tower with stretches, foot patterns, and positions to establish proper hip-swaying posture. As one or more routines are learned, hips roll, arms circle, waists twist, and dancers shimmy, undulate, and step. An included hip scarf will help dancers get in the spirit, while doubling as an eye-catching cape for upcoming bullfights. Classes are one hour and take place late afternoons and evenings on Tuesdays.
Few reviews can be found for Tasha's classes, but there are testimonials from former students on her website:
- Debra makes belly dancing fun and informative. She makes the classroom so warm and open that you feel comfortable dancing and making mistakes because she’s there to help guide you. – Linda
- I have done this series twice with Tasha, and each time I have more fun! During the class we are not only learning but laughing, enjoying our female shape, and getting a great abdominal workout. – Alicia
