Thought to derive from the ecstatic trance states of ancient healing rituals, dance is now primarily used to embarrass children and pound loose floorboards into place. Fix your floors with today's Groupon to Dance With Me. Your Groupon is good at either the SoHo, Long Island, or Ridgefield studio. Choose between the following options:
- For $40, you get five drop-in fitness dance classes (an $85 value).
- For $55, you get four group dance lessons, four dance parties, and a half-hour private lesson (a $128 value).
Dance With Me is the brainchild of internationally acclaimed dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy of Dancing with the Stars fame. He's infused years of experience into every instructor, class, and Fantasia-brand mop that self-cleans the studios when no one's looking. With five drop-in fitness dance classes, you can loosen up with Latin-dance-inspired Salsacise, burn calories to a crisp in Toning Your Body, or, at the SoHo location, harness the heelwork of hip-hop. Each fitness dance session helps you tone muscles and improve posture, flexibility, and coordination, providing a workout vastly more effective than the Mississippi Sob Shuffle. Check out the current schedule for class times and days (click here for SoHo, here for Long Island, and here for Ridgefield).
Should you opt for group dance lessons, you'll benefit from professional instruction, a fun social atmosphere, and the invaluable opportunity to practice your moves with a variety of dance partners, including squid-limbed merpeople. Endorsed by the Dance Vision International Dance Association and National Dance Council of America, the curriculum covers everything from waltz, foxtrot, and quickstep to tango, mambo, and cha-cha. The lessons are progressive and available at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels because jumping into advanced steps without mastering the basics would be similar to building the world's tallest salami sandwich without establishing a solid rye base. In addition to group lessons, you'll enjoy a half-hour private dance lesson with an expert instructor to help you master techniques and advance to a higher skill level. You'll also get four social dance parties, where you can show off fresh moves while acquiring new ones through osmosis. Check each location's site for more information on social dance parties.
New clients only. Hip-hop classes only at SoHo location. All classes must be redeemed at same location. Must use classes within one month of redemption.

- As opposed to other studios where you are considered just another body on the floor the teachers here actually care about me.. They care about my progression and want to truly see me do better. – Russbrag, Citysearch
Dance With Me
Featured on ABC, Fox, and various channels, Dance With Me doesn't just teach students the mechanics of fun, fit, and healthy dancing—they transform them into dancers. And the process goes beyond learning fancy footwork. Participants are welcomed into a setting that cultivates confidence, nurtures self-expression, and bolsters social interaction skills, since it really does take more than one person to tango.
The joy of ballroom dancing becomes contagious at each of Dance With Me's modernized studios, which host classes specifically tailored toward each visitor's goals. And those classes are taught by a uniquely qualified team of professionals, some of whom may have familiar faces. Co-founder Maksim Chmerkovskiy is a renowned Latin Ballroom dance champion, choreographer, and instructor, but he's perhaps best known for keeping celebrities on their toes in his 14 appearances on Dancing with the Stars. Along with National and World Champions and Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars choreographers Val Chmerkovskiy and Tony Dovolani, he has instilled Dance With Me's staff with their professional chops and ability to stay composed when cha-cha-cha-ing with a boom mic.
