During the three-hour Foodie Photography class, which takes place at Avli Restaurant, Nirvana, The Flavours of India, or KB Food, food lovers learn how to take tantalizing pictures of their appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Students can work with any camera—DSLR, point-and-shoot, or smart phone—and at the end of class, they'll post the pictures onto their social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. After they take a picture of the food, students get to eat it. Read more about the class and schedule here.
For those who want to learn more about photography, three-hour Digital Basics classes for beginners teach everything from how to use built-in camera functions to how to control the depth of field.
Whether they're just starting out or looking to specialize in a particular medium, photography enthusiasts of all backgrounds will find a class to improve their art at Dandyline Pictures. For beginners, there's the Digital Basics class, which covers concepts such as exposure, ISO ratings, and how to use certain camera functions. Another novice-friendly class is Foodie Photography, which teaches food lovers how to snap appetizing food photos to share on social media sites such as Facebook, Pinterest, and My Life is Better Than Yours.
More advanced students can sign up for private lessons or focus on topics such as night or travel photography. All of these classes are led by filmmaker and photographer Roger Metivier, who was honored with the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal for his art and charity work.
