About Danza del Sol Winery
Founded in 1978 by Dr. William Filsinger, Danza del Sol Winery’s 40-acre vineyard property is located on the De Portola Wine Trail, in Temecula Valley. In 1980, Filsinger Vineyard and Winery opened for tasting. After visiting different California wine regions in the fall of 2009, Robert Olson purchased Filsinger Vineyard and Winery in 2010 and began to build a strong team to aid him in producing quality wines. Winemaker Justin Knight began his journey in the tasting room and made his way to work in the cellar giving him the opportunity to apprentice under well respected winemakers in Temecula Valley: Mike Tingley, Renato Sais, and Art Villarreal.
At Danza del Sol Winery, they help to produce wines that have distinct identities. For example, their 2010 sangiovese mingles scents of red cherries with leather, and the 2010 cabernet franc mixes deeper aromas of black cherry with hints of cranberry and pleather. Their Mediterranean-influenced bottles regularly receive awards in the Southern California Wine Country Wine Competition, and they are available for tasting or purchase at the Spanish-mission-style clubhouse, which overlooks the blushing harvest.
