What You'll Get
Wines, like a comfortable T-shirt or a hard candy left to ripen under the couch, only get better with age. Taste the passing of time with today's Groupon: for $20, you get a winery tour and tasting package for two at Danza del Sol Winery in Temecula (a $40 value).
Situated on the De Portola Wine Trail and surrounded by the picturesque hills of the Temecula Wine Valley, the 35-acre Danza del Sol estate has been fashioning delectable wines for more than 30 years. Oenophiles start their visits with a 20-minute tour of the winery any time between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., looking on as lowly grapes are elevated to the regal heights of winedom. Guests are invited to taste from two of the estate's ageing barrels, sampling adolescent wines still outgrowing recent boy-band infatuations. After the tour, sippers repair to the cozy, barrel-lined tasting room to sample five of the estate's finished wines. While weighing subtle flavors on keenly perceptive tongues, tasters can enjoy the views from the expansive patio or chat up the knowledgeable servers, absorbing insider information about the sampled wines. Groupon buyers whose tongues have been piqued by the estate's tipples can take advantage of a 10% discount on wine purchases. A souvenir tasting glass is included to take home, providing a classy way to sip brought-home bottles or add the final touch to an unfinished glass harmonica.

About Danza del Sol Winery
For more than 37 years, winemaker Arturo Villarrea has strolled between trellises on the hills of the Temecula Valley wine country. Arturo began his long career at Callaway Vineyard & Winery back in 1975, where he became a Cellar Master and Associate Winemaker. He now scans the nuanced grapes of each season, waiting for just the right moment to pick them and produce varietals such as cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, cabernet franc, tempranillo, and viognier.
At Danza del Sol Winery, they help to produce wines that have distinct identities. For example, their 2010 sangiovese mingles scents of red cherries with leather, and the 2010 cabernet franc mixes deeper aromas of black cherry with hints of cranberry and pleather. Their Mediterranean-influenced bottles regularly receive awards in the Southern California Wine Country Wine Competition, and they are available for tasting or purchase at the Spanish-mission-style clubhouse, which overlooks the blushing harvest.
