Look forward to going to one of the local workshops. Enjoyed Dave as a speaker and he certainly made us question, some of the things that we do spend money on and to take a second look before we actually spend the money. We have already saved money this week. I also admire his Christian faith and admire the fact that he makes this so public and inclusive into his presentation.

What You'll Get

Grab your financial pickax and conquer mountains of debt with today's deal: for $19, you get general admission to Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover Live (a $42 value). The event takes place on Saturday, April 9, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Memorial Coliseum.

New York Times best-selling author Dave Ramsey de-mystifies money, offering honest advice for digging out of debt in this five-hour, high-energy presentation. At the largest personal-finance event in the U.S., misers and compulsive spenders alike will learn how to create a plan to get out of debt, save like never before, and invest with confidence. Dave's upbeat and up-front attitude inspires listeners with a working model, filling their minds with important insights about increasing financial security, such as reducing spending by using debit cards instead of credit cards, and using hand towels instead of dollar bills to dry dishes.

Admission also includes a workbook and a free 30-day subscription to the Total Money Makeover website.

  • He is so serious about shunning debt that his Web site takes only debit cards; try to pay with a Capital One Visa, and the system rejects the card, then tut-tuts at you. – Megan McArdle, the Atlantic
  • He gives you hope when all is lost and shows you how to get through the debt one at a time eventually eliminating it all. – jjjenniferbbb, Viewpoints
