• This is an 8-hour course with 2 segments

• 5 Hour Class, to learn fundamentals (Day 1)

• 3 Hour Range Time, for Live Fire Session (Day 2)

• Range time will be in Livonia, Lansing or New Hudson, MI depending on availability

• Range fee is not included and will need to be paid directly to the range

• Range rentals are not included in the voucher and are paid directly to the range:

  • Pistol rental is $20
  • Ammunition for the range time may be purchased from the range
  • Ear and eye protection may be rented from the range

CURRICULUM DESCRIPTION

• Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.

• Online classes are available on Saturdays, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

• During the online class, the student will schedule the range day; range day is available on Monday or Tuesday (additional days may be possible, depending on the business availability)

• How the students take part in the online class: via Zoom
