About David Images
The bride, who had traveled all the way from Germany, was overwhelmed with excitement on the warm day. When she suddenly fainted and EMTs rushed to the scene, the wedding photographers set down their cameras and stepped in to help, offering direction and calming words. Though they've seen brides and grooms swoon, and even a linen backdrop burst into flames, the photographers from David Images generally channel their photojournalistic style while capturing beaming families in calmer situations. Founder David Johnston, trained at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, left the corporate world to pursue his passion for photography. He draws inspiration from Monte Zucker and Gary Fong when immortalizing weddings and hand-picks fresh natural light daily to keep his compositions sharp. To help subjects open up and maintain their natural body language, the photographer strives to entertain and strike common ground. Using professional-grade Canon cameras, David most likes to snap his shutter at parks brimming with foliage and murmuring water or at Deerfield Beach, where piles of rocks provide interesting elevation changes against a backdrop of spray from crashing waves and the triumphant screams of thrill-seeking fish. Although he shoots mostly couples and larger groups of people, David can also train his lens on pets.
