Qi-gong classes are hybrid sessions that combine qi gong, tai chi, Chinese yoga, and soft martial arts while focusing on breath and movement. Classes meet at Linda Whildin’s Beautiful Townhome in Dakota Ridge Village on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Private sessions, which are held at the main South Boulder location, apply qi gong and other aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine to help each person heal from whatever ails them.
David J. Coon, Medical Qigong
After being diagnosed with a serious spinal disease as a teen, David Coon embraced the healing notions of Oriental energy medicine and was able to find complete relief from his ailments. Today, he shares what he learned over decades of study at the knees of master teachers, offering group and private qi-gong classes, bodywork sessions, and counseling. Classes in qi gong, a form of gentle, mindful exercise, help students tackle issues such as stress, back pain, and psychosomatic illness.

“I had been considering starting a tai chi class. One day, I received an Groupon offer for David's qi-gong class. I'm glad that I decided to try it out. David is a great teacher. I especially enjoy that he combines several different schools of martial arts, while focusing on breath and movement. David also tries to explain how we can use our practice in day to day life. I really benefit from his classes and I highly recommend him to others. Sarka”
