Since the rise of the Internet, people have struggled to tear their now-useless phone books in half. Bulk up to succeed where others have failed with today’s Groupon: for $19, you get one month of unlimited boot-camp classes at Davis Training Boot Camp in Centennial (up to a $180 value).

Led by owner Sean Davis, a NESTA-certified personal trainer and former NCAA football player, Davis Training Boot Camp's cross-training boot camps transform human bodies into strong, confident workout machines. Appropriate for all levels of exercisers, each camp pairs the intensity of a functional full-body workout with the support of an Elizabethan corset with great listening skills. Participants torch calories and tone each major muscle group using body-weight exercises, jump ropes, dumbbells, and strength-training tools such as medicine balls and sandbags. Held in a 4,000-square-foot warehouse ideal for running, jumping, kicking, and tumbling, workouts may also incorporate exercises inspired by Sean's mixed-martial-arts background and Quentin Tarantino's revival of Annie. Classes last up to 45 minutes and take place seven times a day, five days a week; consult Davis Training's FAQ page for dates and times.

Though Davis Training sometimes offers a discounted rate online, today's Groupon still presents the best deal available.

Davis Training

A common sight at boot camp is a red-faced instructor shouting intimidating commands to participants straining with pain. At Davis Training, the trainers aim to erase this stereotype by creating an encouraging and supportive environment in which they never force their members to do military-style drills. Each session is geared toward virtually any fitness level and is different from the previous, and this variety helps foster full-body conditioning instead of just building muscles in the arms, legs, or toes.
