All the meats at DC Backyard Grill are prepared over an oak-and-hickory wood-fired grill with dipped pecan wood submerged in apple juice. Meats are then smothered in a mustard-based sauce, resulting in beef or pork ribs, lamb, chicken, and turkey that can be mixed and matched to fit any appetite. There's even something for vegetarians, a grilled portobello mushroom topped with squash and served on a whole-wheat bun. Caesar and spring mix salads are also on the menu offering a choice of grilled chicken, salmon, or shrimp. Sides include seafood pasta, baked beans, and coleslaw, and meals end with what DC Backyard Grill calls "Make You Want To Slap Your Moma Desserts": sweet-potato pie, pecan pie, and a variety of cakes.
