Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

So much bla bla but you don't describe how it actually works. Do you drop us off at the river and then pick us up at the end point or do we need to organise it all ourselves and all you provide is the tubes? Thanks, Jonathon.

Jonathon M.  asked on  Jul 11, 2012

A:

Yeah, Groupon does that funny write up that doesnt really tell how it works. So just check out our website for more details. basically, Your Groupon covers the cost of the tube rental. For $6 ea, there is a round trip shuttle that will drop you and your tubes at the entrance, then wait at the end to bring you back. Or, if you can get the tubes on or in your vehicle, the city has about 100 free parking spots at the entrance of the river, (about 8 blocks upstream) You can park there, float, and walk back to the car when you are done. This is extremely common, as only about half the people use the shuttle. The river hooks back toward the parking lot so the walk is only 2 blocks to get back to the car.

Q:

Is this for the green tubes or white tubes? With bottoms or without bottoms?

sara d.  asked on  Jul 11, 2012

A:

This groupon s for any tube we have, with or without bottom. We have a few black inner tube type, but most people go with the Heavy Green PVC Vinyl tubes. These are like many other outfitters are switching to. They are durable, ea outfitter has a different color, they dont get hot, or leave a tube rash like the old stlye. We also have river run tubes with the pillow rest like academy sells, but these are thinner, and not as durable.

Q:

Do you rent River Run brand tubes, as shown on your website? Also, I see pictures on your website showing 2 seater tubes. Are those allowed on the river? We were turned away with a 2-seater when we brought our own. Thanks.

Elena G.  asked on  Jul 11, 2012

A:

We do have River Run Tubes, but most people prefer the heavier guage Green Tubes we have. They are a pvc vinyl like most other outfitters use, as well as schlitterbahn. Double tubes are no longer allowed. No tube over 5' This is a new law as of jan 1 2012
