What You'll Get
Without extracurricular activities, children will take up sedentary pastimes, such as playing video games or baseball. Get them up and moving with this Groupon.
Choose from 5 Options
Choose from 5 parkour and free-running day camps for kids and teens aged 6–14. Camps take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at Urban Evolution's Manassas location. Childcare is available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for an additional $20.
A typical day of camp includes supervised warm-ups, skill-development sessions, snack breaks, and a movie that illustrates parkour and free-running stunts. Inside a gym lined with climbing ropes, gymnastics mats, and spray-painted obstacles, expert instructors teach movements such as jumping, rolling, climbing, and vaulting, as well as safe methods for landing and falling. On the final day of camp, kids travel to a local park to practice their newfound skills outside. Participants and their parents must fill out a camp application, a consent waiver, and a medical form, located here.

About Urban Evolution
The world is a playground, according to the stunt artists and gymnasts who helm Urban Evolution. At this CNN- and Channel 11 WBAL -featured gym, there are no treadmills or stationary bikes. Instead, dance-like movements and acrobatic leaps propel visitors toward apexes of fun and fitness. To ready physiques for such feats, ropes, trapezes, and gymnastics equipment facilitate body-weight exercises that build balance, flexibility, and coordination. Seasoned instructors oversee the training space, teaching students how to jump, climb, crawl, and tumble as safely as possible during movement-focused classes such as Parkour, Free Running, and Aerial Acrobatics. Kettlebells and other functional strength-training tools power UrbanFit conditioning workouts, which give participants the brawn to perform everyday tasks such as pushing lawnmowers, lifting grocery bags, and drawing sleighs filled with lazy reindeer.
