While seated in a boat on Laguna Niguel Lake, visitors feast their eyes on the surrounding rolling hills and lush forestry of Orange County's Laguna Niguel Regional Park. However, most of their attention should be paid to the 44-acre lake itself. Beneath the water swim bass, bluegill, crappie, and more, all stocked by the friendly and knowledgeable fishing staff. These same staffers also supply fishermen with permits, poles, and bait, as well as easy-to-operate electric trolling motor boats equipped with life jackets, anchors, and padded seats.

Though all share the same lake, visitors can embark on fishing adventures in multiple ways. In addition to boats, they can angle for carp from the lakeside, which features amenities including grills, picnic tables, and nearby restrooms. They can also bob across the water in single-person float tubes. Along the way, they'll take in the area's natural beauty, breathing in the scent of lush trees and spying wildlife including ducks and geese in their natural habitats. Once they're done, they can retire to the concession building, where snacks, beverages, and ice cream await.
