Chefs and experts on Italian cuisine lead a walking tour that visit four restaurants in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. Tours start at Il Chiosco for housemade Roman meatballs and a bubbly glass of proseco before moving on to Cafe Bengodi. There, chefs share family secrets for making pizza dough as well as a complimentary slice and a cold Italian beer. At Al Boccalino, tourgoers receive a glass of sangiovese to sip and a recipe to study while watching pasta made by hand in the kitchen. The journey ends with a short walk to Caffè Umbria for a dessert of affogato: creamy gelato with a shot of espresso poured over it. Altogether, the tours last about an hour and 15 minutes and can be scheduled any day of the week.

About Seattle's Little Italy
