The tour will meet behind the Edward Bennett Williams “The Two Bell Ringers” monument in the center Herald Square on 35th Street between 6th Avenue and Broadway. The NYSee Christmas Lights Tour begins in Herald Square, adjacent to the extravagant window displays at Macy’s. After all noses have been unstuck from the glass, guests will board a bus to Brooklyn’s Dyker Heights, a historically Italian neighborhood that boasts mechanical sculptures, large-scale figures, and lights displays to rival almost any in Manhattan. Before cruising back across the Manhattan Bridge, the bus stops at Fulton Ferry Landing to take in skyline views. A final stop in Greenwich Village lets guests sample Christmas cheer up close, with time to stop into small shops and cafés and crane their necks up at Washington Square Park’s giant Christmas tree. Tours start just as the lights are coming into full bloom at 7 p.m., beginning on Monday, November 26, and continuing seven days a week through Monday, December 31; call for specific availability.
