Clients seek out a perfect jack-o'-lantern candidate in the pumpkin patch as they sip soda, hot cocoa, cider, or water. The farm will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from September 29 until October 31.

Pope Farms

The end of summer signals the beginning of fun at Pope Farms, when weekends welcome families to enjoy a whole host of fall activities, including the farm’s centerpieces, its 5-acre corn mazes. If all that twisting, turning scares up an appetite, guests can head to the country store for some home-style treats or chart course to the pumpkin patch to sample a pumpkin straight from the vine. Tractor-pulled hayrides and cow trains ferry guests around the farm, stopping to let them jump onto soft, carefully arranged barrels of hay or inflatable jumping pillows, and a newly added corn cannon lets visitors try their hand at America's least-documented Revolutionary War–weapon.

This is definitely a kid-oriented park, but the 3 of us (all adults) had a great time. We went down the slide a few times, played cornhole, rode in the wagon to watch the pumpkins being launched, got lost in the corn maze, and picked out a slew of gourds and pumpkins that we got at discount because it was the last day of their open season. It was a good day!
