Q:

Can these be hung outdoors?

Nancy Y.  asked on  Oct 26, 2012

A:

While the wreaths can be used outside, they are designed and built to be an indoor wreath first. They can be used outside, and if they get wet or have snow on them, after they dry off, they will return to their original shape. Of course, this kind of use will shorten the life of the wreath. If the wreaths are left outside on a continual basis, and are exposed directly to the sun, the color will fade off over time, usually after about one year of this type of exposure.

Q:

Can this be outside in the elements? I have a front door that is exposed, not sheltered in any way - would this stand up to a Maine winter outside?

Q:

Hi! Are these wreaths made of real bird feathers or faux? And, will they eventually dry up, and are only good for use during this holiday only, or will they keep soft & fluffy, if stored properly, for at least a few years? Thank you, Vanessa

Vanessa C.  asked on  Oct 26, 2012

A:

The feathers have been treated so as not to deteriorate, so you could get years and years of use. If they get tossed around and beat around in the house, of course it will diminish their life. The feathers are United States Turkey feathers, from turkeys grown and raise completely in the U.S. They are completely cruelty free. The feathers are shipped to China, where the wreaths are assembled, and shipped back as finished products.
