Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

When I buy a voucher, do I have a choice of seating, or is it just assigned by whatever's left and if there are seats available together for however many tickets I'm buying?

Lynda b.  asked on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

You will not be able to choose your seats when making the purchase. Instead, you'll receive your seating assignment when you redeem the Groupon by presenting your Groupon voucher and a valid ID at the venue box office starting 11/20/12 during box office hours, Tue-Sat 12pm - 6pm.

A:

But what if there are no longer that many seats grouped together?

Lynda b.  from  Self  replied on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

According to the FAQ, "Seating is assigned based on ordering information provided by Groupon", so it's not a first-come first-serve basis when picking up your tickets. As long as you purchase the Groupons in one transaction you'll be fine!

Q:

I am interested in purchasing 2 tix for Grinch. However I need HANDI-cap seating which is in a designated area of Citi-Wang Theatre in orchestra. How can I get this seating in advance so I know I'll be safe in a HANDI-cap seat?

Mary N.  asked on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

Most of the venues that host events featured on Groupon are handicap accessible. Before you purchase tickets to any event, contact the venue to verify if all the tickets being offered through Groupon will meet your specific needs. All venues are happy to accommodate anyone with a disability but we still recommend verifying specifics before purchasing any ticket. Wang Theatre can be reached at (617) 482-9393.

Q:

"Redeem starting 11/20 at venue box office" Is this mean that I can't purchase the tickets and reserve my seats until November 20?

Miki B.  asked on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

Sorry for the confusion. You can purchase the Groupon right away, but you won't be able to retrieve your tickets at the venue box office until 11/20/12. Exact redemption instructions will be included on your Groupon voucher after making the purchase. I hope this helps!

A:

so, we can only get seats whatever available as of 11/20/12? At that point (11/20), seats available as of today may not be available for us any longer. Possibly we may not be able to sit together (I'm trying to purchase 5 tickets.). Is that correct understanding?

Miki B.  from  Self  replied on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

Seating is assigned based on ordering information provided by Groupon, so it's not a first-come first-serve basis when picking up your tickets. As long as you purchase all of the Groupons in one transaction, you will be seated together. Please visit the FAQ to learn more.

Q:

Hi, do you know what type/level of seating these tickets are? It reads "valued at $73.25," but I don't see that ticket price on the Wang website (for instance,"Orchestra Sides Rows E-O" are $60 on the website and "Orchestra Center Rows E-O" are $80).

Jodi C.  asked on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

The Groupon is for seating in the mezzanine section, or rows P–EE, side rows E–O, or box seating in the orchestra section. We are unable to provide more specific seat descriptions than listed on the deal page. You'll receive your exact seating assignment when you retrieve your tickets at the box office. Thanks for your interest!
