Q:

hi again. so you say roughly 200 pics for the $40, if i send in $40 and send you 200 pics do you stop scanning at some point when my $40 is used ? Send some back unscanned ? also 300 DPI , can they be enlarged to 8x10 with good quality ?

julie h.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Hi Julie! Thanks for you interest in our deal! We will scan all materials that you send in for processing. When you place your order at https://www.scandigital.com/order-form.php using your Groupon, you will also be able to enter in your credit card information for any additional materials. We scan loose printed photos that measure 8'' x 10'' and below for $.48 at 300 dpi or for $.68 per photo at 600 dpi. If you want to create prints from your images, at 300 dpi you can create a print the same size of the original. At 600 dpi, you can print at double the size of the original. If you would like to enlarge your images up to 8'' x 10'', I would recommend select our 600 dpi at $.68 per photo for the best results. Please feel free to contact us at support@scandigital.com for more information.

Q:

What is the resolution that the photos will be saved at? Will I be able to get an 8X10 that isn't grainy from the disc?

Olivia  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Hi Olivia! The final resolution of the digital image would depend on the resolution you would like your photos scanned at. If you are looking to print at up to 8'' x 10'', I would recommend our 600 dpi high resolution.

Q:

Is there an opportunity to edit the film before it is finalized on DVD? I have some old cassettes that have blank spaces with no filming going on. Would that be removed?

arlene j.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Hi Arlene! Thanks for your interest in our deal! We offer a one to one transfer for video tapes and do not remove any footage. If you would like to edit your footage, I recommend our expert transfer. With the expert transfer, tapes that are two hours or less are transferred for $29.95. Tapes that are more than two hours are transferred at $29.95 for every two hours. In addition to standard DVDs, an AVI file will be created and will be uploaded onto an external hard drive, which you may provide or purchase from us for $119.95. We require 30GB of free space for every 2 hour tape. The AVI file is ready to edit and is compatible with any software and is compatible with PC or Mac. For more information you can view our Film and Video pricing page at: https://www.scandigital.com/film_video_pricing.php.

Q:

How many VHS tapes fit onto (1) DVD?

Kathy M.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Hi Kathy! Each tape is transferred to its own DVD disc. Most tapes are only 2 hours, but if a tape is longer than 2 hours, the footage will be transferred to multiple discs. Tapes over 2 hours in length will incur an extra charge and will be billed as an additional tape for each two hour block of time.
