Q:

I have loose photos , in fact they were mainly my grandmothers. I have noticed on your website that photos ( not in albums ) are .48 for 300dpi and .68 for 600dpi. I was wondering the clarity between the 300dpi and the 600 dpi. I am not wanting to print any from the DVD, I just need them on DVD.I am interested in purchasing the Groupon for $300 of services due to the quantity. If I have this figured correctly I can get 625 loose photos transfered at 300dpi, correct? Thanks for your help.

Dolina W.  asked on  Oct 5, 2012

A:

Hi Dolina! If you want to create prints from your images, at 300 dpi you can create a print the same size of the original. At 600 dpi, you can print at double the size of the original. The higher dpi is mostly important for enlargement purposes. The picture is scanned in at many more dots, which will result in a larger file size. This is generally associated with a clearly image as well. Thanks for your interest in our deal! Please feel free to contact us at support@scandigital.com with any further questions.
