Q:

I have 2 different sizes of small cassettes from video cameras. One size, I can't even view as we don't know what happened to part of the camera. If I send a blank cassette, will I be charged? Will these be put on DVDs that can be copied? I would have to use the service for being able to edit because some of the cassettes that I can currently view (different size) have a variety of segments on them. I want to be able to make a copy for each of my kids when I'm done editing them.

Katherine S.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

Hello Katherine, Thank you very much for interest in our Groupon. You will not be charged for any blank material or tapes we cannot transfer. The DVDs are not copyrighted. With the right software and equipment, you can create your own copies. If you would like to edit your footage, we would suggest going with the Expert transfer. You will need to send your own hard drive or purchase one from us. We would return AVI uncompressed files on the hard drive which are fully editable. If you have anymore questions, please make sure to email support@scandigital.com. We will be more than happy to answer any further questions you may have. Best Regards, Danny Lopez Best Regards,

Q:

Is is possible that you can determine the date the photo was taken, from the snapshots, even Polaroids, so they would come back organized by a successive time-line? If not, would I be able to organize the individual shots on the DVD? I also wanted to add background music to the DVD. Is that possible? I was even thinking about maybe doing a voice over the background music. Is that possible?

David P.  asked on  Oct 4, 2012

A:

HI David! Unfortunately, we cannot determine the date the photo was taken. If you would like your photos scanned in order, please organize them prior to sending them in. You cannot edit the images directly on the disc but you will be able to copy the images from the disc onto your computer for editing. If you would like music added, you can review our slideshow options at http://www.scandigital.com/digital-slideshow.php. We would only be able to add a voice over to your slideshow if you sent the recording to us on a disc. Thanks for your interest!
