What You'll Get
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, which is why every time a human attempts to fly, a bird attempts to drive a stick shift. Engage in one of the primary mandates of physics with today’s Groupon: for $49, you get two zips on a zipline from One Axe Pursuits at Victoria Park in Elora (a $113 value, including HST). This Groupon is not valid for Zipline Extreme. Choose from the following dates:
- Sunday, May 6
- Sunday, May 13
- Sunday, May 20
- Monday, May 21<p>
Founded by mountaineer Frederick Schuett in 2001, One Axe Pursuits sends adventurers of all skill levels soaring across Elora Gorge on a 200-foot zipline affording thrills and majestic views. The transformation from human to flying whipped-cream pie commences with a morning of instruction led by an experienced staff of mountain climbers and movie-stunt workers. Next, zipliners set off face-first from the ledge of an 80-foot cliff and zoom safely across the gorge, taking in thrilling bird’s-eye views of scenic surroundings from the safety of a secure zipline. One Axe permits two flights, after which guests can continue to soak up the natural beauty from the nearby Lover’s Leap lookout point or commune with dust bunnies in their natural habitat.

About One Axe Pursuits
Adventurist Frederick Schuett launched One Axe Pursuits in 2001 to use outdoor adventure as a vehicle to promote active lifestyles. He sliced the company into three divisions: recreational programs, corporate team building, and filmmaking. The outdoor-adventure company specializes in recreational programs that send clients zip-lining over the Elora gorge, climbing up frozen waterfalls, and rappelling down limestone cliffs. The corporate team-building division helps create cohesiveness among groups, and film-industry services—such as stunt work and training—keep movie stars and the cardboard cut-outs they use as stunt doubles safe and intact.
