What You'll Get

Like joggers crossing a highway, bowlers should avoid nearby bumpers and resist the temptation to chase wayward balls into neighboring lanes. Roll carefully with today’s Groupon: for $19, you get a bowling outing for up to four at The Alley (up to a $52 value). The package includes:

  • Two hours of bowling
  • Four pairs of shoes<p>

Named the Best Place to go Bowling in Independent Weekly’s Best of the Triangle 2011, The Alley exhibits a genuine retro charm with 24 original hardwood lanes and up to a 2 a.m. closing time Friday and Saturday. Classic paper scorecards track close games and enable lengthy nicknames as up to four bowlers don slick-soled footwear and hurl weighty orbs.

During two hours of pin toppling, bowlers can temporarily divert their attention with flat-screen TVs showing laneside sports and a state-of-the-art sound system blasting toe-tapping didgeridoo drones. Though not included in today’s Groupon, breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare from the expanding menu at The Balcony replenishes famished bowlers with savory burgers and fries.
