About d.o. organize
As a child, Debreen Oliva helped her friends declutter their closets on playdates. As a high-school student, Oliva’s teachers kept copies of her meticulous notes for their records. So it is no wonder that, in addition to parenting two children, teaching middle school full time, volunteering, and working with her husband on their family business, she drew on her talents as a personal organizer to found d.o. organize.
Attics, basements, closets, and garages become manageable as Oliva helps customers sort through clutter and develop systems to keep spaces free of chaos. Her organizing maids keep homes and offices spic and span with an eye toward organization and usability. Personal-assistant services allow clients to delegate nearly any task that would go on a to-do list—options range from grocery shopping and laundering clothes to starching and folding linens into perfect origami cranes. The company also offers property maintenance, handyman, trucking, and trash-removal services.
Oliva is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and has advised reporters at the Times Union on home organization.:m]]
