Q:

Who is the vendor/producer of these turkeys? I see no company listed in the groupon description. Also, you said the turkeys will be frozen, but are they raw (uncooked)?

A. S.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Hi there! These packages are coming from MeatHub. They are located in Wisconsin. Everything besides the actual turkey and rib roast is fully cooked - just heat and serve. You will have to cook the turkey (and the rib roast if you end up buying the Deluxe version).

I noticed on the MeatHub website that the only turkeys listed are organic. Are the turkeys offered in this deal organic, too?

Janette S.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Hi Janette! Sorry for the confusion! The one offered through this deal is all-natural, but not certified organic. This means that the turkeys are pasture-raised as well as antibiotic- and GMO-free.

Q:

thank you for all the great answers to these question. I have another one for you!~ I see that the turkeys are natural, pasture raised, grass and grain fed. So here is my question. Is the feed that the turkeys eat GMO free? ie. most feed-corn is GMO. If the turkeys eat a NON-GMO diet, I will most certainly get one!!! thank you!

Justyn W.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Hi Justyn! Yes, the feed that the turkeys eat is non-GMO.

Q:

how many people will the deluxe package serve and how long will it take to heat the meal?

Amy H.  asked on  Nov 11, 2012

A:

Hi Amy! The deluxe package will feed 15-20 people.

The turkey will be completely frozen, so you will have to thaw it. Cooking times for turkeys vary depending on how you wish to cook it.

You only need to heat and serve the side dishes. Depending on the heating method (i.e. microwave vs. the oven), anywhere in between 3-4 minutes (microwave) and 30-40 minutes (in the oven). Preparation and serving instructions come on each product label.

The turkey does not come brined.
How long you cook the turkey depends on how you cook it and whether or not it is stuffed. Oven roasting at 325 degrees F can take anywhere from 3-5 hours.
