More Questions and Answers

Q:

I have noticed that you do not answer any question regarding whether you are a RECOGNIZED non-profit agency. Nor do you appropriately respond to questions that you are NOT offering any service that the military person or their family does not already receive for FREE. Also, the VA administration gives funding to any outside agency that seeks outside services outside the VA system. All this has helped me to decide you are NOT a legitimate agency. SHAME ON YOU!

IMAGE J.  asked on  Nov 7, 2012

A:

Hello! I apologize that your questions were not answered personally. Your question is one that has been asked by others (a common question) and addressed under questions and answers if you look through the below. Not Alone is a national 501c3 not for profit Tax ID #271934061 so yes, we are a recognized agency. We have also answered the questions about the VA. Our services are the same. We are a non-governmental group that offers confidential and anonymous help and we can to come along side the VA to help with the overwhelming numbers of those suffering. Yes, the VA offers programs for FREE as do we. We are all working together to make sure ALL of our warriors and families are taken care of. Let me know if you have any additional questions at danielle@notalone.com Danielle

Q:

How many sessions does my $110 buy for a veteran? In other words, does it buy 1 session from a health professional or 3 online sessions - what does it buy a veteran who enters your system?

Gale D.  asked on  Nov 3, 2012

A:

Hi Gale, Approximately $100 allows us to bring one new warrior or family member into treatment. You can see how the financials break out at www.notaloneinfo.org. You can also see all the areas of support. Thanks so much! Danielle

Q:

Can i make the donation in honor of some -- it would be my groupon account but would like to make the donation in honor of someone........ thanks

cheryl t.  asked on  Nov 2, 2012

A:

Hi Cheryl! I'm very sorry, but we do not have this feature in our system at this time. By purchasing the Groupon, 100% of the donation automatically goes to the organization. However, you can list a 'Donor's Name' on the Groupon, you can also email info@notalone.com with your Groupon number for a thank you letter and receipt of your donation.

Q:

I found this article from 2009: http://www.disabled-world.com/communication/community/notalone-warriors.php. I also visited the notaloneinfo.org website and I see you have a Ft Bragg tab for contact info but it's blank. I'm assuming you are expanding your organization? I'm a soldier but I've never heard of you. From what I've seen you look interested in the helping the soldier. I also read your blogs, powerful stuff. How do soldiers find out about you? Thanks.

Haley M.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Hi Haley, Yes! We do have representation at Ft. Bragg and yes! we are here for the soldiers (and families). Mostly soldiers find out about us from each other and word of mouth. And, great grassroots efforts like this. Please email jenny@notalone.com for additional information about Ft. Bragg offerings and she will be able to connect you. Thank you for your service!! Danielle

Q:

You say 100% goes to Not Alone, but do not say what percentage of the 100% they receive actually goes to the Vetran. What is that percentage. Thanks, Gary

Gary M.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Hi Gary, I hope I understand your question correctly. 100% of the proceeds from this campaign go to paying for the counseling the Veterans (and families) receive for FREE. It goes to funding the programs and services that we provide to the Veterans. We do not actually give money to Veterans. I hope this answers the question. You can email me if you need additional information. Thanks so much!

Q:

Will my address be submitted to the organization as well? I do not wish to get emails or direct mail from them in the future. It seems that once you donate to any non-profit, you become part of their mailing list. Thanks.

Violet H.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Hi Voilet, Not Alone does not receive any donor information from Groupon or through this campaign. We only receive the donation. We ask folks to "opt in" if they wish to by simply emailing info@notalone.com. We sure appreciate your donation. Thanks! Danielle
