What You'll Get
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, which is why every time a human attempts to fly, a bird attempts to drive a stick shift. Engage in one of the primary mandates of physics with today’s Groupon to Let’s Go Paragliding, with classes held at Mt. Brace Flight Park in Millerton. Choose between the following options:
- For $99, you get a weekday Introduction Day to Paragliding from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (a $235 value).
- For $115, you get a weekend Introduction Day to Paragliding from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (a $235 value).<p>
Helmed by certified instructor Benoit Bruneau, who was named 2010’s Paragliding Instructor of the Year by the U.S. Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, Let’s Go Paragliding indoctrinates students to the high-flying sport with introductory days held at a safe training hill. Upon arriving at Mt. Brace Flight Park, guests step into a full complement of rental equipment, including a glider, harness, helmet, and a radio that plays “Danger Zone” on loop. Under Bruneau’s expert tutelage, students begin their lesson by learning how to inflate a glider and control it. Over the course of the day, the duo progresses higher and higher on the training hill at the student’s desired comfortable pace. Guests should come dressed in hiking boots, sunglasses, light gloves, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt with a bottle of water in tow to simulate rainstorms for an added challenge.
