What You'll Get
Without dance, people could only hum along to "Macarena," and Jane Austen characters would be forced to say what was really on their minds. Let movements speak with today’s Groupon: for $49, you get two private dance lessons for two people at Michiana Dance in Mishawaka (up to a $110 value).
Kathy Nate, owner and instructor with more than 40 years of experience, works with independent choreography coaches at Michiana Dance, fortifying feet with social ballroom and Latin lessons for all skill levels. In a relaxed, private setting, pairs follow directions that emphasize the roles of leader and follower essential to a graceful dance. First-time ballroom students gingerly strut, twirl, and twist to build confidence in classic genres such as the foxtrot, waltz, swing, or tango. Latin instructors share basic or advanced steps for the mambo, salsa, and other scorching styles pupils can use to keep up at local clubs or to help to melt ice rinks in the spring. With its clear lesson plans and supportive guidance, Michiana Dance guarantees student couples will saunter the floor as one after a single lesson.

About Michiana Dance
The instructors at Michiana Dance believe that beginning dancers will learn faster, feel looser, and move better when instructed alone rather than around a group of equally uncomfortable strangers. During private lessons, students learn a variety of dances such as ballroom, West Coast swing, country two-step, or Latin dances as personalized, one-on-one feedback helps them sharpen their technique and fix mistakes quickly. The instructors can also prepare brides, grooms, and wedding parties for the dance floor, helping turn first dances into jaw-dropping performances and chicken dances in to tear-jerking manifestations of grace.
