At Wight-Meyer Vineyard, the vino-crafting experts pluck Kentucky-grown grapes hanging heavy on 2.5 acres of vines and transform them into 18 award-winning wines. Staffers fill take-home glasses with a sampling of four white, four red, and two dessert wines per person, with each pour making taste buds happy enough to sprout into an enchanting zen garden. Nibbles of cheese refresh palates between sips, ensuring the lingering tastes of blackberry and oak in the chambourcin vanish completely before mouths dance with the apricot and opera tones of a vignoles vintage.

Groups can lounge on the outdoor patio to soak in views of the expansive vineyard, or retreat within the goldenrod- and crimson-hued tasting room in the event of rain or an attack by unruly teens armed with water guns.

Wight-Meyer Vineyard & Winery

Wight-Meyer Vineyard & Winery began producing wines in the late 1990s as Bullitt County's first commercial vineyard. In 2006, after initially plucking grapes from 2.5 acres of vines and squeezing them using telekinesis alone, Wight-Meyer’s founders converted their barn into a bustling wine production facility. The vineyard’s award-winning wines include a barrel-aged Kentucky norton and a rosé, some of which can be sipped during group tastings in the facility’s tasting room.
