Misty Copeland made history when she became the first African-American principal dancer with the prestigious American Ballet Theatre. It was an achievement that inspired TIME to name her one of its 100 Most Influential People in 2015. With ABT, Copeland has starred as Clara in The Nutcracker and as Odette/Odile in Black Swan. As a young girl, she was sharing a shabby motel room with her five siblings when she discovered ballet, and a year later was performing professionally. Hear Copeland talk about her inspiring life, the dance world and other topics in an onstage conversation with actress and dancer Debbie Allen (Fame) at Grand Arts High School's Concert Hall.
