They advertise benches at the lunch spot and they were there last year. It would've been nice to have a picnic table to Sit at while you ate lunch. In fact, I went last year and brought a party of 18. We were all disappointed that there was no place to sit and have your lunch.

Was not as professional as we had hoped. We paid for the tube upgrade and others in line were taking upgrade tubes without paying. We did ask for and received a refund of this amount but this was symptomatic of the overall process. There was very little to no communication between the customers and staff, especially while waiting on lines. We waited on line for the bus over an hour without any communication to what the process was or what would be the next step in the process, or even how long. This was also done in direct sun, without any tents or other accomodations for the large crowd. There were not any guides to walk us down to the river or get us situated in our tubes before heading down river. Options such as tethers and meal upgrades were not made apparent at check in. The line for food was horrendous, and overhearing that "River Man" has run out of food and water on the bus radio was disheartening and disturbing. Finally we waited for another hour in the dark, wet and cold, being mosquito bait while buses shuttled us back to base camp. There was almost a mini-riot when drivers were giving conflicting instructions, and no staff was present to take control. Upon arriving at base camp we were herded to our vehicles and no one ever pointed out where the supposed changing facilities were located, this lead to a lot of rummaging around in the dark at various cars. You seem to be experiencing growing pains from an expanding business, it was like the whole process was coming apart at the seams. The staff need to be better trained and organized with more of a concentration on customer interaction and service. From start to finish this took seven hours only half of this was spent actually tubing. The tubing experience was awesome, but everything surrounding that left a bitter taste.

Although the normal price for tubing comes with a great lunch and great fun, it was a little too pricey for us broke college kids. The Groupon was perfect for us and allowed us to get in a day of relaxing fun in our last week of summer. I really hope you have it again next year! I read about your problems with the Army Corps on your Facebook page, but I hope you get them resolved by next year because you really need those picnic tables back! It was great to eat with our feet in the water last year, and being out on the water kept the nasty bees at bay. Other than that it was a great day for a fantastic price!

Fantastic day. Everything was run so smoothly. Kids and parents had a blast tubing, although we want to use a raft next time!

About Delaware River Tubing

Delaware River Tubing launches tubes, rafts, and kayaks on five- to six-mile trips down scenic waterways just north of where George Washington historically crossed the Delaware River. Shuttles ferry groups to launch points, where watercraft journeys begin along the wide river. In addition to renting vessels, Delaware River Tubing's crew leads guided kayak tours that can highlight local wildlife and tackle class one rapids like a mall cop tackling a gummy-bear thief.

During river adventures, scents of barbecue waft across the water from the aptly named Famous River Hotdog Man. The riverside eatery, founded in 1987, partners with Delaware River Tubing to give each customer a hot meal, which they can devour at picnic tables in the water.
