At Delaware State Fair Ice Rink, skaters of all ages slice through the permafrost on freshly sharpened blades. Along with regular open-skating sessions, the 49,000 square foot rink hosts hockey and ice skating lessons for children that impart basic skills such as balancing, weight distribution, and how to pirouette while texting. Parents cheer on their children's progress in a large, heated viewing lobby while up to 350 fans crowd into the seats to cheer on swatted shots of fall and winter ice hockey league.
