The Democrat and Chronicle is generally a good source of accurate news. However, it would be nice if some of their articles were less biased. The job of a journalist is to present the facts on the topic and let the reader decide, not to tell the reader what they should think about the topic. Don't patronize your subscribers.

About Democrat & Chronicle

The Balance first hit newsstands in 1833, when the United States was a mere 57 years old. The paper grew up with the country, merging with another local publication in 1870 and acquiring its current title, Democrat & Chronicle, along with additional readers, before Gannett purchased the paper in 1928. Regardless of its name or owner, the Democrat & Chronicle has always been known for bringing news to people, a tradition that continues today.
