Q:

Do your discs and editing software work on a Mac. One of your reviews discourages Mac users from using your service.

Carrie B.  asked on  Jul 6, 2013

A:

The Arcsoft editing software we include is available only for PC. However, you can still edit our DVDs on your MAC. As a MAC user myself, I recommended using iMovie which comes with most every MAC. You will need to "RIP" the DVD before editing. There is a free program called Handbrake which will take the video file from the DVD and convert it for editing. http://handbrake.fr/ Its very easy to use. Pass our editing software along to a PC user, they will appreciate it.

Q:

I don't see anything mentioned about negatives. We had a total-loss house fire and lost all our photos. However, over the years, we sent the negatives of our 35mm film to our parents for storage. Are you able to take those negatives and put them on a CD or DVD? If so, how much would that cost? If not, who would you recommend that can do it? Thanks for helping us out, and God Bless!

Jerry  asked on  Jul 6, 2013

A:

I am so sorry to hear about your home. It's great you had the for thought to store your negatives at your parents. We also offer negative scanning. However, it's not included in this offer. Q:

A camera of mine was stolen back in 2008, among the memories stored on it were pictures of my last baby moments after her birth, me holding her for the first time etc...i do however have a dvd video of the birth itself with the time just afterwards and was wondering if you are able to make "snapshots" from the dvd so thast i may finally complete a very sentimental collage of the births of all of my children, if so i would love an estimate and your contact information, if not do you know of anyone or any company that may be able to transfer a video into still shots and print them? Thank you...

Irene B.  asked on  Jul 5, 2013

A:

We can make still images from a DVD. The quality is not great, (low resolution digital files) but our customers are always happy to get the images. The minimum fee is $29.95 and that includes up to three images. Each additional image done at that time is $5.00. It works best when you can sit down with a tech. If you are sending it in, I suggest you make a copy of your disc and include a good description of the images you are looking to retrieve.

Q:

"•$22 for three videotape-to-DVD transfers of up to two hours each, and complimentary ArcSoft editing software (a $140 value)"-- Does this mean I send you 3 tapes that are 2hrs each and you'll transfer them to 3 DVD's? Can I send 6 tapes that are 1hr each and get them on 3 DVD's? Thanks

Martin L.  asked on  Jul 5, 2013

A:

This offer is for one video tape to one DVD. We do offer a service to combine two tape to one DVD. To do this with the Groupon, there is an additional cost of $5.00 per tape.

Q:

We have 4-200 ft rolls of 8mm/super8 and 84 50 ft rolls of mostly super8. If I buy 2 groupons for me and give 2 to my wife, can I use all 4? We have a total of about 5000 feet. Looks like the 4 groupons will handle about half. I'd like to get a price for all 500 ft with the groupons. How can I do that? Should I call you directly?

John G.  asked on  Jul 5, 2013

A:

This offer was designed for no more than two per order. Since you have so much footage, you could submit the film as two separate orders. Each Groupon will cover 700 feet of film for our Sliver level service. (Four Groupons would cover 2800 feet) The additional footage would be at a flat .14 per foot. Therefore, for 5000 feet of film and buying four Groupons, you would be looking at an additional $308.00 (for sliver level)
