Questions and Answers 10 questions

Q:

My teeth are real however I have some fillings in my front teeth because they were chipped in an auto accident. Will the procedure still work for me?

Catherine B.  asked on  Aug 10, 2012

A:

Anything that isn't your natural tooth won't lighten with a whitening procedure. So, if the fillings are visible when you smile, they will not change color.

Q:

What does the take-home whitening kit consist of? Are the trays truly custom molds of your teeth? Thank you.

Maureen F.  asked on  Aug 10, 2012

The take-home kit consists of 2 tubes of bleach and custom trays that are made in the office the day of your appointment.

I see locations at Copley and Waltham. Where are the other 3 locations and the days and times available for the Whitening?

JEAN J.  asked on  Aug 9, 2012

A:

We only have two locations, one in Copley Square and one in Waltham at MGH West. It's best to call the office you're interested in going to for available days and times for appointments.

Q:

My concern is whether I can get the service of a doctor instead of a nurse even for the dental cleaning part? I know some clinic use nurse to do the dental cleaning work....

Yu Z.  asked on  Aug 8, 2012

A:

A registered dental hygienist would be doing the dental cleaning. The doctor would come in to do the exam and evaluate any x-rays.

Q:

I'm getting married on October 7th. Could I get an appointment between now and then?

Geoffrey B.  asked on  Aug 8, 2012

A:

As long as you call to schedule your consultation soon and you have a flexible schedule, we should be able to get both the consultation and the zoom done prior to your October wedding.

Q:

The fine print says that a consultation is required. What is the cost of that? Is the consult and zoom done on the same day?

Catherine B.  asked on  Aug 8, 2012

A:

There is no extra fee for the consultation. The consultation is done on a day a couple weeks prior to the Zoom because we have our patients on a special prescription toothpaste for sensitivity at least 2-3 weeks prior to the whitening.

Q:

Do you also accept dental insurance?

loretta m.  asked on  Aug 8, 2012

A:

Yes we do accept dental insurance. Zoom bleaching is never covered by insurance and the cleaning option is a special deal that would not be submitted to insurance. Most insurance plans cover 100% of cleanings and x-rays.
