Q:

How does someone know how many treatments they need to buy before meeting with the doctor. If you purchase three treatments and you end up not using all three? If you purchase three treatments and not all three treatments are used for the vein treatments, can the additional fee be moved to another type of treatment with the doctor?

A:

I would suggest purchasing one treatment. You can also call our office and come in, I would be glad to take a look at you. I hope that helps.

Q:

Does this laser treat pigmentation issues such as brown spots and acne scars? Does it treat fine lines or deep wrinkles? What type of Cutera laser do you use? Can you substitute a different laser if the Cutera laser isn't the best one to treat your individual issues? Thank you. :)

Laurie K.  asked on  Oct 16, 2012

A:

No, this isn't for brown spots. Treating hyperpigmentation with a laser is a very tricky thing to do as often the hyperpigmentation will come back worse. It will remove redness from acne scars but not significantly change the texture if the scars are deep. This isn't a treatment for fine lines or wrinkles. This is a Cutera Vantage. This is a good treatment for visible blood vessels.

Q:

Does this treatment also work well for acne and acne scarring? Thank you

Miranda K.  asked on  Oct 16, 2012

A:

No, this isn't a treatment specifically for acne. If you have red areas from an old acne scars, this treatment can get rid of the color but won't necessarily help the texture of the scar. I hope that answers your question.
