Desert Willow Golf Resort
Both geographically and by name, Desert Willow Golf Resort's two 18-hole courses can rightly be classified as desert golf courses. That said, the mountains in the distance and the occasional coyote doing Peter O'Toole impressions may be the only visual giveaways of its arid surroundings. Otherwise, each course—the Firecliff course and the Mountain View course—draws golfers through a kaleidoscope of vivid colors, from the resplendent greens of the fairways to the bright blues reflected in the rivers and ponds. At 7,056 yards, the Firecliff course is the longer and more difficult of the two, confounding golfers with more than 100 bunkers and abundant water. Slightly shorter and less difficult, the Mountain Course is no breeze either, presenting golfers with plenty of chances to lose their stellar round to the desert wastelands or one of seven water hazards.
