I have been to many yoga studios in Royal Oak. This is the best yoga experience I have ever had. This was the most challenging class I have attended but well worth it!

What You'll Get

Yoga, like karaoke, is best practiced when properly hydrated and wearing breathable pants. Set yourself up for acclaimed performances of flexibility with today’s Groupon: for $30, you get eight classes and five video tutorials at Detroit Yoga in Royal Oak or Ann Arbor (a $106 value).

Detroit Yoga keeps bodies limber and minds mellow with a schedule of daily Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga classes. The studio's experienced and supportive stretchable sages guide aspiring yogis of all levels and abilities, helping them attain body-bending poses. With small class sizes, the instructors can dedicate personal attention to each student and answer questions at the end of class, ranging from how to modify poses for injuries to how to create the peculiar hybrid known as the cat-cow. Detroit Yoga’s sessions focus on breathing, linked poses, and meditation, all of which may improve health or bolster a professional balloon-animal artist’s resume. Check the schedule for details.

About Detroit Yoga

Yogi Jason Schramm, inspired by the daily struggles of the city he loves as well as yoga's definition as union, named his yoga school in its honor as well as its future. He draws upon more than 15,000 hours invested teaching to show students how to find inner peace and use it to effect positive change in their lives. Schramm uses ancient yoga poses to propel pupils inward, and also lets subtle influences from his martial arts training shine through in some courses. Ashtanga classes summon sweat with mild to increasingly more vigorous poses that build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Vinyasa classes weave at once both movement and stillness combined with deep breathing into a fluid sequence that changes daily.
