Detroit Yoga

Yogi Jason Schramm, inspired by the daily struggles of the city he loves as well as yoga's definition as union, named his yoga school in its honor as well as its future. He draws upon more than 15,000 hours invested teaching to show students how to find inner peace and use it to effect positive change in their lives. Schramm uses ancient yoga poses to propel pupils inward, and also lets subtle influences from his martial arts training shine through in some courses. Ashtanga classes summon sweat with mild to increasingly more vigorous poses that build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Vinyasa classes weave at once both movement and stillness combined with deep breathing into a fluid sequence that changes daily.
