Master brewer Jesse Melton crafts Diamond Bear’s award-winning ales from high-quality ingredients, including two-row malted barley, hops, recycled yeast, and water drawn from Lake Winona and Lake Maumelle. Brewed according to traditional European methods, distillers forge each of Diamond Bear’s eight unique recipes using only true beer ingredients and labeling bottles with designs printed on out-of-circulation deutsche marks. Group tours educate participants on each phase in the hoppy progression and engage antsy hands with a souvenir pint glass and samples of award-winning beers such as the malty Rocktoberfest or the medium-bodied pale ale. Afternoon tours begin at 3 p.m., but partakers should plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early to ensure a timely start and help guides weed out empty kegs posing as humans.
