The horse and buggy was a popular method of early transportation, far surpassing the bug and buggy, which could barely move and was often destroyed by squeamish gunslingers. Saddle up with today's Groupon: for $30, you get two one-hour private horseback-riding lessons at Diamond View Farm in Versailles (a $60 value).
The skilled staff at Diamond View Farm teach beginner-through-advanced lessons to equestrians of all ages, as well as proper horse care. During each 60-minute lesson, students study subjects such as tacking up their steed, grooming, proper riding technique, and bonding with the hoofed creature below. Riders also walk, trot, or canter over 130 acres of pastureland that house horses along with an outdoor gallop grounds, a heated indoor-riding area, and a runway to launch Pegasus. Many show horses call Diamond View Farm their home, including the proud stallion Master Class.

Diamond View Farm owner Kristen Bagdasarian and assistant trainer Shane Mullens share their wealth of riding knowledge during lessons for beginner through advanced. Their facility features both an indoor and outdoor arena, and hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including ladies nights and an educational Saddle Club for youth riders under the age of 18. During the holiday season, Kristen and Shane adorn Diamond View with festive decor and dish out hot cocoa after lessons.
