I had heard great things prior to buying this groupon in June 2021. Unfortunately, I did not call them prior to purchasing this groupon to ask about scheduling. Had I done this, I may have saved the time and money that it appears I am now out of. I went to the shop to retrieve my PADI study materials in June of 2021 (they now use a different certification). The "prior" shop manager was friendly and provided everything I needed. I left and prepared to schedule my in-class training and diving dates. Turns out, the classes were not a great fit for me and my schedule for the remainder of the summer, early fall. Everytime they had something scheduled, it conflicted with my personal and work life. Fast forward to the next year (Summer 2022). They changed certification programs, and the original shop manager is no longer there to honor the groupon. Initially, I tried to get the schedules but again, there were conflicts. So, I sort of put it off thinking they would still honor it since I originally paid $250 on groupon for the full certification. Again, my fault but I was frustrated I paid the amount and could not attend the training as there were minimal options and days available. I reached out again January 2023 and spoke with Saul. He is fantastic, understanding, and empathetic... I explained why there was a delay and he was very nice. He was beyond willing to work with me as this is a slow time of year for them and my schedule is more flexible this early in the year. He said he would reach out to his boss to see if they will honor this 1.5 years later. He notified me that the owner is not willing to work with me on this certification and I would need to pay the FULL amount of the new groupon, which is now almost $400. Since I already redeemed this groupon, I am unable to get groupon bucks back at the minimum. This is beyond frustrating. I even offered to pay the difference (between the old and new groupon) but that was also denied. I'm not sure if this was offered now, if I would accept it as I am BEYOND frustrated the owner is not willing to be a little more accommodating as I have already spent $250 on this groupon and this is a slow time of year for them. Buyer beware, find out their schedules prior to purchasing this to make sure they have dates that work with your schedule.
