What You'll Get
Like fishing for compliments, fishing for fish requires the right bait, the right line, and a friend who is willing to exaggerate. Reel it in with today's Groupon: for $285, you get a halibut fishing charter for two at Discover Alaskan Adventures in Ninilchik (a $570 value).
In fishing charters lasting up to seven hours, Discover Alaskan Adventures' knowledgeable guides whisk anglers to waters teeming with gargantuan halibut. The 28-foot cabin cruiser soars across the frigid Deep Creek for up to an hour before settling over the heavily occupied fishing grounds at Central Cook Inlet, where depths can reach more than 100 feet. There, passengers cast provided lures and hooks baited with pages from Moby Dick, relaxing in the mountain scenery until each frantic bout with their unsuspecting catch. After the trip, guides will clean and fillet all catches for free, and for an additional fee, Discover Alaskan can preserve the spoils in vacuum-sealed bags and ship them via FedEx, or pack them in an airplane-ready box for air-dropping into the Tartar Strait.

About Discover Alaskan Adventures
Discover Alaskan Adventures has led groups of adventurers into the Alaskan wilderness to sightsee, camp, and fish for more than 20 years. Situated on the bluffs overlooking the scenic volcanoes that line Cook Inlet, Ninilchik’s Volcano View RV Resort not only regales guests with breathtaking views, but with water, electricity, and WiFi as well. The guides take care of everything on fishing trips as well, from supplying the tackle and the boat to sending death notices to the fish's hundreds of brothers and sisters. At the end of fishing trips they can also fillet and seal the fish for shipping to their clients' homes.
