I purchased a groupon for a local company to install a remote starter, only to find out they charged an additional $100 because she had some kind of special car (2010 Chev Aveo w/automatic trans). I contacted groupon and told complained the company wasn't being forthright with their ad. Other than the vehicles you clearly stated it wouldn't be valid for, are there any hidden fees or markups we should be aware of?

They are not hidden, but in the fine print it talks about an advanced bypass being required. The vehicle in question DOES require an advanced bypass module to start as it does the actual start functions through data. There is a $75 charge for this on your particular vehicle.
