Chef Susannah Walker’s menu delivers authentic dishes inspired by her culinary training in Italy, kicked up a notch by her own twists. For example, DiTerra’s warm bread salad (with onions, tomato, and basil) stems from traditional Tuscan panzanella, pumped up with crispy pancetta, truffled leek confit, and an egg, sunny side up—the novel appetizer is a favorite among regulars.
The menu is concise, but each well-designed dish is toasted, seared, or broiled to perfection. The shrimp risotto with artichoke, green peas, and mint is a mouthwatering, creamy, and rich seafood and veggie concoction that’s light and airy at the same time. Taste the seared scallops one reviewer calls the best in town, with sautéed broccolini, potato gnocchi, asparagus, tomatoes, and crème fraiche. End your meal with indulgent desserts. From the servers to owners Branden and Leigh Latshan, DiTerra’s entire staff takes pride in every aspect of the dining experience. The Latshans are newbies to the restaurant business, and their genuine excitement for providing a refined, comfortable meal is refreshing. The enthusiastic couple will treat you like neighbors they’re hoping to impress. After the friendly service puts you at ease, the atmosphere will to take you to the next level of dining relaxation. The venue is warm, with earthy tones and a fireplace that blazes even in the springtime. The silver chairs and booth accents give the place a modern flair.
