Classically trained violinist Elliott Sabbagh has studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, but he has never worked with renowned acts such as Big Sean, J. Cole, and Maybach Music. Those credentials belong to his turntable-savvy alter ego, DJ Ell.
Since becoming a self-proclaimed vinyl DJ when he first took to the turntables at age eleven, Sabbagh has showcased his talents on MTV, on the Ann Arbor hip-hop radio show he co-hosts, and in packed venues such as The Power Center and Comerica Park. While he loves hip-hop, DJ Ell has also laid down the 1s and 2s on the Vans Warped Tour and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. DJ Ell is also available to perform at special events and teach aspiring DJs the tricks of the trade, such as how convert vinyl records into dinner plates when the dishes are dirty.
