As practiced in ancient Chinese medicine, acupuncture rebalances the flow of energy through the body. Whether being practiced in its traditional or Western form, acupuncture uses fine needles to target the body’s 12 meridians and redistribute energy. Patients look to these treatments for relief from pain and allergies, to stimulate weight loss, or even to cope with stress and its related symptoms.
Do Won Eastern Medicine Clinic
Eastern-medicine practitioner Dr. Kim works to alleviate patients’ pain, most notably sufferers of cancer, stroke, digestive problems, insomnia, and anxiety. He inserts hair-thin acupuncture needles into the skin to redistribute the body’s energy, applies cups to the skin to suck out blood stagnation, and mixes medical herbs that can be ingested.
Very cozy, professional. Felt a little relief when I left but I need several sessions. Coming back 👍🏽

I've experienced a decent amount of acupuncture from various practitioners. This is the first time I've had a Korean practitioner and it seemed comparable to the Japanese style I've had in the past. Basically, it's a passive style where a low to moderate amount of needles are applied and then you're left to relax for an hour. Comparatively, I've experienced styles where more needles and ear seeds are used (Americans using Chinese style) or needles that are hooked up to electricity (Chinese style). I found this office to be clean and professional, but the rooms are not insulated well and you will hear noise coming from the halls and other rooms. I purchased a 3 session package and it was definitely worth the time for the price. I'm not sure if I will return though because, fortunately, there are many acupuncturists located in my area and I'm curious to try different styles. I think I may prefer the Chinese styles as I notice more immediate results. Acupuncture is great no matter what. If you've never tried it, this office will give you a great introduction.
