Q:

I want to still do this. However, the January window is closed and there is just no snow. I want to do it on the snow and can come any day of the week. Can I still get in on the january or even a february window.

DENISE T.  asked on  Dec 2, 2012

A:

Maybe. If we get enough demand to run another deal or open more sleds, we may. The best thing to do is send us an email so that we can measure the number of sleds that may be served by another deal.

Q:

Hello. Should we pay something extra for riding 2 adults and infant on lap (11 month old)? Thank you

Marina  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

Sled pricing is a bit complex to understand sometimes. You can view all our prices for all our services here: dsrwp.com/price.php. Basically, we do not charge for children under three. The are treated much like carry-on luggage and we allow one carry-on per sled.

Q:

I wanted to buy 3 Groupons for the January/February time frame but that time is sold out. If I buy the December Groupon, is there some flexibility in the time that the coupon can be used?-Maybe during kids school break?

Donna B.  asked on  Dec 1, 2012

A:

The simple answer is no. The valid dates of the voucher are strict. We may run another deal in early 2013, so send us an email if you want to be contacted before we run it.

Q:

What is the minimum age for kids to ride?

Zaira C.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

This is another common question. We don't have a minimum age, but suggest at least six months. If you prepare for the conditions, then the ride is usually fine for all ages. There are some trail conditions that we do not recommend for children that young, and those trail conditions usually occur at the very beginning of our winter season and the very end.

Q:

hello, my question is:can i buy one voucher value $185 and use in the cart for 4 people?? 2 adults-2 children, how much do i have to pay more??i tried to do in the website, but the price is not right, just work for sled i coulnd make work for cart.

JANA F.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

The simple answer is yes. If we are running carts, and your four people fit in a single cart, then you can use a single voucher to pay for the cart. If we are running sleds, you CAN NOT put four people in one sled. You can put three people in one sled (subject to weight and size restrictions) and use a single voucher towards the price of that sled. You CAN NOT choose whether you ride in a cart or a sled. We make that determination based on trail conditions. The reservation system guesses at the date we will switch to sleds. If the reservation system makes a reservation for you in a sled, but there is not enough snow for a sled, then we will use a cart. If the reservation system makes a reservation for you in a cart, but there is too much snow for a cart, we will use a sled.

Q:

What time do the sled rides start?

Kevin  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

Hey Kevin, I'm not sure exactly what you mean, so I'll be thorough: During the promotional period covered by the voucher, the first ride of the day is at 9:15. We are open six days a week most of the time. If you are asking about the date we switch from carts to sleds, then the answer is "I don't know." We are open year round and use whatever vehicle is appropriate for the day. The ride status and trail conditions are posted at the top of each of our webpages. On average we switch to sleds on November 22. The latest we have ever switched is December 9th. We are currently on wheels, and I have no projected date for the switch.

Q:

What would the cost be to add one extra person?

cindy k.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

We get this question a lot, so thanks for asking. The simple answer is $25, and the long answer is it depends according to the following rules: All prices for all our services can be found here: dsrwp.com/price.php. The voucher has a value of $185 and can be used for one sled or cart up to $185. In the case of two adults and one child riding together in one sled, the retail price for that sled is $210 (carts have different pricing). You would make your reservation as with any ride via our online system, and the system will calculate the price for you. Enter your voucher info in the comment section, and you are good to go. At the time you take your ride, the guest wrangler will apply the voucher value towards your sled price and determine you have a balance of $25 which would be collected during checkout.
