What You'll Get
Similar to tickling a bear without losing an arm, the art of breathing underwater requires practice and dedication. Introduce your lungs to aqueous awareness with today’s Groupon: for $15, you get an introductory Discover Scuba lesson (a $35 value) from Dolphin Dive Center. Classes are held at the YWCO building in Athens. Class sizes are limited and are currently only offered the first Sunday evening of the month, though more classes may be added to meet demand.
Dolphin Dive Center's experienced instructors guide potential divers though the process of earning their flippers with safety and expertise. Before hi-fiving mermaids or snapping shots of celebrity anemones, novice aquanauts tote their swimsuits and towels to the YWCO's heated pool where they will plunge into the fathomable depths under the supervision of a water-wise guide. Students are introduced to the basics of scuba, including the proper use of diving equipment and breathing techniques. The Discover Scuba lesson is available to anyone 10 years of age or older, and all scuba equipment is provided for the class. For customers that redeem today's deal, Dolphin Dive Center will take $35 off a full scuba-certification course (normally $395) if they sign up for the full certification within two months of the Discover class, finally bringing you access to continental shelf shuffleboard leagues.

About Dolphin Dive Center
Dolphin Dive Center owner and master diver Tim Bridgham has a philosophy a lot of people can relate to: we spend much of our lives standing on our feet, sitting on our butts in chairs, or sleeping—so getting in the water can be a blissful alternative. As a full-service dive center, Dolphin Dive is a place where students and seasoned divers can get all their gear, as well as the knowledge to put it to good use. Beginners can splash into the heated, indoor pool to get the hang of breathing underwater during the try scuba course, while more seasoned divers and mermen in disguise can take the advanced open water class.
