What You'll Get
A tortilla makes a handy mouse pad, an acceptable patch for stiff denim jeans, and, if you draw a face on it, an ideal companion on fishing trips. But there are many other uses for it, as today's Groupon proves: for $10, you get $20 worth of Tex-Mex fare and drinks at Dos Gringos, located in the Cultural District. Whether sharing appetizers or stockpiling entrees in an entree backpack, your taste buds will meet Dos Gringos' Tex-Mex fare and Mexican specialties. Fill up on spicy tortilla soup, hearty plates of carne asada, sizzling fajitas, or quesadillas before watering tongue buds with a specialty margarita, glass of wine, or beer. Dos Gringos features live music on Friday and Saturday nights as well as karaoke on most Wednesday nights, giving patrons free reign to perform classic Hall and Oates songs about classic baseball players.
Although reviewers are mixed on cuisine, customers praise the salsa. Yahoo! Locals and five Insider Pagers both give Dos Gringos an average of four stars. TripAdvisors give it a four-owl-eye average. Yelpers rate it an average of three stars, and 78% of Urbanspooners recommend it.
